They called him "The Old Perfesser." Casey Stengel was a baseball legend, not so much for his play as an outfielder for Brooklyn Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Giants and Boston Braves, but for his days managing the New York Yankees and later the New York Mets. Always smart, always sarcastic and usually pretty lovable, too, Stengel was a fan favorite, whether he was leading the Yanks to 10 pennants and seven World Championships from the late 1940's to 1960 or trying in vain to lead the upstart Mets to respectability in the early 1960's. This 16x20 photograph of Casey Stengel during his days as manager of the Mets has been hand signed by the following 1962 Mets: Craig Anderson, Ed Bouchee, Joe Christopher, Cliff Cook, Roger Craig, Ray Daviault, Sammy Drake, Larry Foss, Joe Ginsburg, Jay Hook, Al Jackson, Sherman Jones, Ed Kranepool, Clem Labine, Hobie Landrith, Ken Mackenzie, Bob Miller, Joe Pigntano, Sammy Taylor, Frank Thomas and Don Zimmer. Each 1962 Met has added a special inscription. A Mounted Memories Certificate of Authenticity is included.
